About PSRO

Pernille Sunniva Rutledal Olsen (PSRO) is a Norwegian visual artist based in Bergen. Her practice explores the connections between memory, identity and lived experience, and how these shift through time, distance and perspective.

Working across painting, drawing, photography, print, sculpture and installation, she collects, layers and transforms fragments of everyday life into new visual narratives. Personal experiences often become starting points for exploring something shared – the relationships between people, objects, places and the structures that surround us.

Her work moves between the familiar and the abstract, seriousness and humour, leaving space for uncertainty, interpretation and discovery. Rather than offering fixed answers, Olsen creates open-ended works that invite the viewer to make their own connections.
